In this particular guide, we are going to take a look at Bayonetta 3 old picture book to collect, where to get your hands on it and how to open it to access the coolest game secret chapter. Let’s sink!
NOTE: TO MAKE THE KEYS YOU NEED TO OPEN THE OLD PICTURE BOOK APPEAR IN YOUR GAME, YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE THE MAIN CAMPAIGN.
Bayonetta 3: Old Picture Book Guide – How To Unlock Old Picture Book, Access Secret Chapter
Where to find the old picture book
You can buy Rodin’s Old Picture Book at the Gates of Hell for 4100 Halos. Just head to the shop and into the Rodin’s treasures section to grab this mysterious tome, which requires three keys to open.
Where to find the 3 keys needed to open the ancient picture book
In order to open the old picture bookyou’ll have to take care of typing three different colored keys that are hidden in three different Ginnungagap, The Chaotic Rift parts of the game. These sections are as follows;
Key #1
Chapter 1 – Verse 4
This 1st key is easy to grasp. jump in Chapter 1 and head to the Second step which takes place in the Chaotic Rift. Once here, walk a short distance from the starting point and you will activate Verse #4. Make your way through this short battle, then jump to the small platform right in front of you – the one with the glowing flowers on it, as shown below – then turn left and you’ll see the blue key glow and turn at far . Just jump on it and grab it, and we’re one less!
Key #2
Chapter 2 – Verse 1
The 2nd key is in Chapter 4, Verse #1which takes place again in the Chaotic Rift. This time we have to head straight from the start of the area and get to the point you can see below, where we can see the glow of the exit portal in front of us. Now turn right and look up. The lotus field the Rift Zone is here – you’ll need to tackle it to earn one of the Bewitchments for this chapter – and heading here now, once you finish the game you will see a green key for old picture book.
A tip for getting up lotus fieldif you are having trouble, use the tall light structure pictured below, climb to the highest point of this structure with your G-pillar active weapon, once at the highest point, jump and hold the button in order to activate your boost jump in demon form to spin to the edge of the Lotus field. It may take a few tries, but you’ll get there eventually!
Key #3
Chapter 13 – Verse 1
The 3rd key is in Chapter 13, Verse #1 and this time we’re in a race through the level as the ground falls beneath us.
During this section, go through the falling platforms until you get to the solid area with the Treasure chest which we have illustrated below. This the terrain section is stable and will not fall. Ride along the spiral path up here, then look ahead at the platforms in front of you.
What we need to do now is jump onto the first two platforms you can see in front of you, then quickly return to solid ground of the spiral zone. This will cause the two platforms in front of you to crack and fall, revealing a glowing red key, the final key to the Old Picture Book. You can go ahead and jump over and grab it, feeling free to fall as you do because you’ll keep the key regardless. And that’s it, we have the three secret keys.
How to Open the Old Picture Book and Access the Secret Chapter
As you collect the three keys, the book will automatically open the corresponding locks until all three are completed. Once you have achieved this goal, you will be prompted to travel to the secret chapter of the gameas shown below.
