The Walking Dead and Supernatural star lands his next starring movie role

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has landed his next lead film role in a new crime thriller.

The Walking Dead and Supernatural the actor should star in Neponset Circlea real crime thriller based on real events.

The film will follow the events surrounding a shocking real-life murder that took place in Boston and which remains unsolved, according to Variety.

Alongside Morgan in the project is LA Confidential and Neighbors star Guy Pierce, which is set to be directed by Pauline Chan.

Neponset Circle will follow ex-detective Jimmy O’Mannon who, on his release from prison, tries to rebuild his life.

Surrounded by his best friend, Jimmy joins him and his former partner Ray Delaney as they attempt to investigate a disturbing case and track down a serial killer.

Bodies continue to pile up as Ray and Jimmy investigate further, and Jimmy’s personal life spirals into nightmarish territory.

“With this thrilling and chilling mystery at its heart, audiences around the world will flock to Pauline’s [Chan, director] new vision, which will be executed by Guy Pierce and Jeffery Dean Morgan who couldn’t be more perfectly cast in their roles,” said Nat McCormick, president of global sales and distribution for The Exchange.

It’s a busy time for The Walking Deadis Jeffrey Dean Morgan who is currently filming the next spin-off series The Walking Dead: The Dead City with co-star Lauren Cohan.

The actor recently posted a behind-the-scenes black-and-white photo of him and his co-star as Negan and Maggie for instagram with the caption: “Let’s go friends. Between the montages on the set of ghost town. I’ll say this…it’s like [we’re] do something special.”

Morgan is also ready to make an appearance in season 4 of The boysthough further details about his character are being kept under wraps.

The Walking Dead season 11 airs on AMC in the United States and STAR on Disney+ United Kingdom.
