Netflix’s latest German epic, In the west, nothing is new bathed in mud, blood and the horrors of war.

Three words that perfectly sum up the film: intense, brutal, horrifying.
🎬 All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) – Netflix Intense • Brutal • Horrifying A top notch anti-war film from Germany with exceptional attention to detail in storytelling and cinematography, showcasing the gruesome nature of war with minor setbacks. Highly recommended. 1/2

I hope the Academy is listening.
‘All Is Quiet on the Western Front’ on Netflix is a masterpiece, possibly one of the greatest war movies ever made. If The Oscars Don’t Care About Foreign Films, This One Should Sweep All The Awards

A professor who teaches the novel on which the film is based finds the film “great”.
I have now watched the new All Quiet on the Western Front, dir. Edward Berger for Netflix. The film is great and I highly recommend it – but as I teach the novel, my view of the film isn’t typical, so here’s a thread about the film as a literary adaptation. 1/12

Only the dead saw the end of the war.
I watched “All Quiet on the Western Front” on Netflix last night. A reminder of what a privileged few, sitting comfortably and safely 50 miles behind the front line, can bring millions of men to each other.

Will this movie bring Netflix’s first Oscar?
Netflix needs to realize that the best bet this year is All Quiet On The Western Front, so you all need to watch it ASAP and make sure everyone you know watches it. That’s how they realize
9.
Most viewers praise the film with superlatives.
Netflix’s All Quiet on the Western Front is the best new movie I’ve watched this year and probably the most intense war movie I’ve ever seen.
12.
Sounds like a fun idea.
There should be an anime adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front in which all the main characters are cute anime girls, but otherwise it’s a COMPLETELY faithful retelling of the story. Honestly, most things should be adapted this way, if they have to be adapted.

Hard to beat this film in its anti-war message.
Watched a bit of Netflix All Quiet On The Western Front last night (that’s a lot to take in at once) Just finished the movie tonight. It’s amazing but brutal. There has never been a stronger message about the futility of war.
15.
Some think sensitive viewers need to be warned before watching this visceral film.
We just watched the new All Quiet on the Western Front, and it was so dark and dreary, so I’ll give you a trigger warning before you watch. If you are very sensitive, maybe skip it. It’s quite disturbing, but we shouldn’t glorify the Hollywood war – this show does NOT do that.
16.
Some remembered the novel the film is based on.
Watching Netflix’s spectacular “All Quiet on the Western Front” and it takes me back to reading it in high school. Do teenagers still read it? (Perfect age, since the characters are teenagers.) I can’t imagine reading it now and going out for… (waves hand at all this). https://t.co/yelyvNROGO

Well, you can’t please everyone!
Netflix’s version of All Quiet on the Western Front absolutely slaughtered one of the best World War I novels ever written. If you liked the book, but never saw a movie of it, I recommend the 1979 version starring Richard Thomas and Ernest Borgnine.
18.
Sounds crazy, right?
It’s crazy to me that at one time wars were fought by directly clashing with enemy forces as they fired at you. (Watch all the silence on the western front)
19.
And finally, many viewers draw correct conclusions from the film.
it’s easy to get overwhelmed in a society that demands you have an opinion on everything, but i watched the new all quiet on the western front yesterday and god damn it. what a solemn reminder that the most important things I can be are anti-authoritarian and anti-war.
