Britney Spears just angrily shut down Millie Bobby Brown’s hope of playing her in a biopic

After The Stranger Thing Star Millie Bobby Brown said she wanted to play Britney Spears in a movie, Spears appeared to reject the idea.

On Instagram, Spears posted:

“Dude, I’m not dead!”

The 18-year-old teenage star raved The Drew Barrymore Show how much Spears meant to her growing up.

“I think his story, first of all, resonates with me.”

“I just grew up in the public eye, watched her videos, watched interviews with her when she was younger…”

“I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way, and hers only.”

In 2008, Spears was placed in a conservatorship under the guidance of her father. In 2021, the conservatorship ended after 13 years of litigation, trauma and stress.

Spears has been emancipated for nearly a year, and since then she’s taken a much more direct approach to handling things on social media.

This can be seen in her Instagram post where she appears to be lashing out at Brown.

“I hear about people wanting to make movies about my life…man I’m not dead!!!

“Although it’s pretty clear that they preferred me dead.”

Die-hard Spears fans took to Twitter to defend her.

While others made a good point about Spears’ so-called “applause.”

Others were excited about the idea of a Spears biopic staring Brown.

Clearly Brown meant no disrespect to Spears when she said she felt she could relate to her story and the internet was torn if they thought Spears’ reaction was warranted or nope.

While Spears didn’t specifically name Brown the center of her anger, it’s clear she’s not ready for anyone to play her in a biopic.
