Even the biggest names in Hollywood like to join in the Halloween fun.

From the scary to the funny, performers of all kinds have used their glamorous crews (and in some cases huge budgets) to bring their costumes to life. For many of the world’s most beloved celebrities, there was clearly no last-minute Amazon hunt for an outfit.

In 2021, several celebrities served up fabulous looks – who can forget Lizzo’s Baby Yoda, Ariana Grande’s The Black Lagoon’s Miss Creature or Harry Styles’ Dorothy?

In 2022, the bar was raised even higher – and we’ve rounded up some of the best celebrity Halloween costumes we’ve seen so far.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian went above and beyond for her Mystique costume this year. The reality TV star’s yellow contacts and blue face paint brought the Marvel comic book hero to life, while keeping that classic Kardashian sexy side. (It’s still unclear how successfully the star used the toilet in the costume — albeit impressively.)

Psalm, North, Chicago and Saint West

Kim couldn’t be the only Kardashian wearing a stunning costume this year. Even his children Psalm, North, Chicago and Saint West had fun and dressed up as an iconic musical group. Kardashian shared several photos of the kids dressed as Aaliyah, Sade, Snoop Dogg and Eazy E — likely a stark difference from other kids their age who typically dress up as princesses and monsters.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner dressed as Bride of Frankenstein.

Kylie Jenner has long been praised for her Halloween costumes, but this year she went all out. Dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein, Jenner looked emotional and beautiful. She transformed this classic movie monster into a modern beauty, but she didn’t stop there.

In her second Halloween costume this year, Jenner stunned as Elvira. With her massive bun and deep V-neckline, Jenner was a convincing mistress of darkness.

Kendall Jenner

You can’t stop these Kardashians/Jenners! Kendall Jenner dressed as toy story‘s Jessie – although Jenner’s doll wore much cheekier pants. She flirtatiously captioned her Instagram post, “Well aren’t you just the cutest space toy.”

Khalid

Popular R&B artist Khalid also went as toy story character this year, and even posed in a life-size presentation box. Of course, he didn’t forget Woody’s signature “Andy” on the bottom of his boot. Yee-haws all around!

Jojo Siwa

Making good use of her new cropped outfit, Jojo Siwa dressed up as Harry Potter character Draco Malfoy. the old dance moms The star even posted several videos of herself lip-syncing (rather convincingly!) to Malfoy’s lines from the movies.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monáe easily had one of the most impressive celebrity Halloween costumes this year. Even for those who do not know the cinema The fifth Element, this costume is striking in its quality. Monáe also shared a video of herself imitating Diva Plavalaguna’s operatic performance from the film.

1, 2 Step Singer Ciara and her five-year-old daughter Sienna looked stunning as Serena and Venus Williams. In a cheeky remake of “Got Milk?” tennis stars of the 2000s announcement, the mother-daughter pair sported beaded braids and matching milk mustaches. At the bottom of the photo, Ciara paid tribute to the Williams sisters, writing, “To the greatest female athletes of all time! Venus and Serena, Love Ci Ci and Si Si.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington said Hello like Lionel Ritchie this Halloween. The actor ditched his usual Hollywood glamor for a much more vintage look and recreated the cover of Ritchie’s self-titled album. Washington wrote that she was “ready to embarrass my children All night long.” It looks like she kept that promise, as she shared a lip sync with Ritchie’s You are.

Lizzo

Lizzo produced three Halloween costumes this weekend, all with impressive precision. First, she dressed up as Chrisean Rock, rapper Blueface’s recurring girlfriend. The singer, with a missing tooth, recreated Rock’s viral “I don’t know who to slap” moment on her Instagram page. Lizzo, however, changed her fake neck tattoo to a portrait of her own boyfriend, rather than Blueface, which Rock tattooed.

Next, Lizzo rocked a rather convincing Marge Simpson. Complete with yellow body paint and a skyscraper blue wig, it’s safe to say Lizzo made it The simpsons justice matriarch.

Finally, and easily the most niche of them all, Lizzo dressed up as Woo Wop, the six-year-old TikTok sensation best known for his emo costumes and his song “I want to kill my mom” which became a meme this year. Lizzo recreated the iconic meme in Woo Wop’s signature chains and pieced black beanie.

Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer gives people what they want. In a nod to a fan’s request for the Nope star to play live-action Rapunzel “with 100-foot box braids,” Palmer dressed as the character, complete with tower. She even uploaded a short sketch to Instagram, where she let her hair down to a gentleman holding a boombox.

Palmer also dressed up as the Marvel superhero Rogue this week, another character fans have been asking her to play.

Joe Jonas

Joe Jonas chose to “Go with the Flo” this Halloween. Dressed as well-known progressive spokesperson Flo, Jonas proved that not every great Halloween costume has to be an expensive, cleverly designed outfit.

Frankie Jonas

Every younger sibling likes to poke fun at the older members of his family, and Frankie Jonas is no exception. This year, he and his girlfriend dressed up as former A-list couple Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift. He even made fun of his older brother’s purity ring, which the Jonas brothers used to wear back then.
