The details
This water-resistant parka, featuring oversized buttoned flap pockets and a drawstring hood, is made from Everlane’s 100% recycled technical fabric and filled with high-performance 100% recycled Primaloft insulation to keep you warm in all weathers.
Made from 60 repurposed plastic bottles and hitting just above the knee, this jacket offers full coverage, which is essential for Canadian winters. If you’re not a big fan of the straight fit, this puffer jacket has a concealed drawstring waistband for a flattering fit.
The oversized buttoned flap pockets offer both style and functionality, but the best hidden feature of this jacket is the slanted pockets hidden behind the flap pockets, which are lined with fleece to keep you warm and comfortable.

First impressions
When I first tried this jacket on, I was surprised by its weight. It certainly doesn’t impact my love of the jacket, but it’s worth noting for those looking for something lighter. Wearing the coat around my (heated) apartment proved that this jacket is definitely warming. Within minutes I was overheated, but I knew this would be the perfect solution for my bad cold weather mood.
In winter, every detail matters when it comes to outerwear – and Everlane really has thought of every little thing. Whether it’s the tight, hidden cuffs or the fleece pockets, this down jacket ensures that your teeth will never chatter from the winter cold again.
As someone who stands at 5′, I’m often wary of long jackets as they tend to drown me out and never fit properly. I don’t know what magic was used to create this jacket, but despite my small size, this jacket still works. Although it’s definitely been a long time for me, I feel perfectly wrapped in warmth all winter and find I can still move freely despite the jacket hitting me just in the knee.
In terms of size, I reduced the size according to the recommendations of the reviews, but I would have liked to keep my usual size. Despite the oversized nature of this down jacket, the construction is quite structured due to a heated inner layer and I find it difficult to fit thicker sweaters under this jacket. That said, this down jacket is so warm that I don’t need my heaviest, warmest sweaters when I’m wearing it – and I live in the very cold Midwest.
