Along with the Wi-Fi bug fix, Apple may address longstanding user complaints since the launch of iOS 16 in September, including reports of battery drain, slow Spotlight search, and laggy animations on iPhone 14 Pro models when deleting apps. For new features, iOS 16.1.1 may include Emergency SOS via Satellite for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
BloombergMark Gurman recently stated in his Power On newsletter that Apple will likely release Emergency SOS via Satellite via a dot-stamp update to iOS 16 in November, which may turn out to be iOS 16.1.1.
