Hemein, 1 hour agoI disagree with this guy but 778G is better than 1080, I won’t be surprised if I… moreIf they release the same phones with the same spec BUT with Snapdragon 778G – if they don’t want to put 778G+ they will get 150-200% sales than with if they release the same dimension 1080.. it i.e. they can get almost double sales if they release them with SD 778G/778G+ even after 10% price hike over mediatek variants.
The 1080 dimension would definitely not be bad… But Snapdragon 778G would ensure three things –
1. Better ISP > So better camera
2. Good custom ROM support
3. GCam support will be much better

I’m not interested in the redmi note line, ..low specs.
My phone of choice has always cost around $640, hardware and software are always good enough and not too much.

After the redmi note 8 pro the redmi note line became “medium”. With the range of tickets, you get what you pay for with small compromises at this price.
Now it’s just an overpriced low-end device.

300 eur for Samsung bloatware 6/128 GB variant not even 8/256 at least in my country Slovakia.
Having a much worse screen, cameras and painfully slow charging with much worse exynos and even the snapdragon series is nothing special.
Plus the Samsung charger excluded in the box. Finally, most original Samsung chargers here in Slovakia cost 30-50 euros depending on the supplier plus the price of a cable.
Xiaomi hasn’t or excluded cables and charger in the box and xiaomi bloatware is easy to remove compared to Samsung.

Dimension 1080 is not bad but it’s just slightly improved, it’s the same as Exynos 1280, D900 and 920.
It makes sense that the pro version would use something like D1080 but pro+ deserves four cortex A78s.

It’s the best deal of all.

I would love to have one but they are overpriced on aliexpress and I can’t even begin to imagine the price of the global versions.
