Kathy Hilton denies Erika Jayne’s Gay Slur claim, fights Rinna, leaves Kyle in tears at RHOBH reunion

Kathy Hilton has finally revealed exactly what happened — or at least what she says happened — during their disastrous trip to Aspen that sparked a ‘crisis’, prompting Erika Jayne to accuse him of dropping a gay slur during the incident. And that doesn’t even get into anything that happens between Kathy and Kyle Richards, or how Lisa Rinna found herself in the middle of it all.

Ahead of the reunion, TMZ teased the explosive confrontation, while Erika took to her Instagram Stories before the episode aired on Wednesday to say, “I was there. It happened. What the ‘audience’ chooses to believe is out of my control. I will never undo the truth of what happened that night.”

The accusation was apparently so serious that Andy Cohen revealed that Bravo subsequently opened an HR investigation to look into the allegation. So what happened?!

According to Kathy, it was all about her determination to make sure everyone had a good time, which apparently meant the DJ at Aspen’s Caribou Club had to play some of the gang’s favorite tunes.

“I go to the DJ, he’s got headphones on, he’s looking down. He can’t see me, so I’m frustrated,” she explained. So she tried her luck with the manager.

According to Kathy, she asked him, “If I gave you money, would you put on songs for me and my friends to dance to?” But the manager shut it down, saying it was “way too crowded” and they couldn’t do that tonight.

When Kathy persisted with her request, dropping that she had been coming there for 30 years and they had always accepted requests, she said the manager was “annoyed” and asked where she was from. “I said LA. He said, ‘Then go back to LA,'” Kathy recalled. “So I said, ‘We got out of here.'”

According to Erika, however, Kathy said much more than that. She claimed that when she saw Kathy frustrated at that moment and asked her what was wrong, Kathy shot back, “The DJ is an old f—ing f—-t”, and left.

Kathy had none of that, however, quickly denying Erika’s version of events. “I will admit what I do, but I will not be painted to be this monster,” she insisted.

“Those are your words. That’s what you told me,” Erika replied. Erika said anyone who knows her knows she doesn’t lie, while Kathy insisted anyone who knows her knows she never talks like that.

Additionally, Kathy said no one else heard these alleged comments, to which Erika maintained that Kathy said them directly to her. During the meeting, Kyle asserted what Kathy was saying here, at least, saying she had never heard it said.

Kathy also got an extra hit by telling Erika, “I’ve got a little more credibility than you. I’ve got a great reputation.” It was a clear reference to Erika’s ongoing legal situation, as she talked about expensive items that Erika said Kathy said are “not yours.”

As for this HR investigation, Andy said that ultimately, “she said, she said.” With no conclusive evidence one way or the other, there was apparently nothing that could be done about it. But at least they took the allegation seriously.

Although Kyle supported her sister in using offensive language, she was still not happy with how events unfolded. While Kathy was frustrated that the women initially resisted, Kyle said she disagreed with Kathy simply stating, ‘We’re out of here’, rather than offering a fuller explanation. .

“You didn’t say, ‘This guy just hurt me, I’m so embarrassed,'” she said. “You said, ‘We got out of here. Everyone has seen. You looked at me like you were leaving now.”

“I’m an adult, you can’t talk to me like that,” Kyle said.

It was an emotional night for Kyle, who expressed hope that she and Kathy could come out of this in a better place in their relationship than they came in — and certainly than they endured during the season.

“I feel very well placed in the middle of this whole situation,” Kyle said. “Obviously my sister is my sister. My feelings have been hurt a lot. I feel like I always get blamed for things in my family.”

“Like the thing at Kemo Sabe, I didn’t do anything,” she continued. “And then when it all came out, it just made it worse and set us back. The only one it hurts is me, it’s me fucking me.”

Kathy wasn’t too thrilled with this take on events, accusing Kyle of “acting like a martyr.”

Of course, at Kemo Sabe, Hilton threw a fit after Rinna ordered Kendall Jenner’s 818 tequila at the bar. During the reunion, Kathy gave the impression that she expected Kyle to spotlight her own tequila and was disappointed when that wasn’t the case.

Lisa claimed that immediately after the incident in Aspen, when she and Kathy were alone in the car, Kathy said ugly things about just about the entire cast. This, of course, was also brought up.

According to Lisa, Kathy said things like “Dorit [Kemsley] is a stupid useless idiot. Crystal [Kung Minkoff] and Sutton [Stracke] are pieces of s—. Useless idiots should be fired. I can’t believe I need to be with these peons, they have to go.”

Andy also read additional claims from Lisa, including that Kathy said she would “take down” the show and “destroy Kyle and his family.” In response, Kathy asked Lisa to take a polygraph test.

She denied everything, saying instead that what she shared with Lisa was that she felt “rejected” and like her sister “sometimes hates me”. She shared that she already apologized to Kyle for what came out of it.

She said she was pressured to apologize to Lisa as well, but when she reached out Lisa wanted to do it on camera, Kathy said it was because Lisa’s contract was coming up and “you need some drama because you’re fighting everyone”.

It then became very precise. “You kicked Lisa Vanderpump off the show, what you did to my sister [Kim]you had issues with everyone, with Camille Grammer, I mean the list can go on and on and on,” she said. “And then say you have been bullied? You’re Hollywood’s biggest bully and everyone knows it…you’re mean and you don’t tell the truth.”

She also accused Lisa of telling her on that car ride, “I get it, I get it, you preach to the choir.” Lisa said she didn’t remember saying that at all. She also told Kathy that this was all between Kathy and Kyle. “What you said about your sister is horrible.”

When Andy asked what it would take to move on from all that ugliness between the two women, Lisa said she was ready to let it go. “I will refrain from that day on,” she said, adding that it is now up to the sisters to sort out the matter. “I only wish you the best. Really.”

Unfortunately, that’s more than Kyle was able to get from his sister Kathy. When she said, “I have to end up here with her in a better place than when she came,” it was clear that it was an attempt at an olive branch and perhaps a step towards reconciliation.

But Kathy didn’t take it, instead just said “I don’t know”. And when there was even a hint that Kyle might not be happy with that noncommittal answer, Kathy added, “I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Again, it’s all my fault,” Kyle said, at which point Kathy walked off stage. When Dorit tried to comfort her backstage, Kyle worried that it was really over between her and Kathy. “I can tell by the way we stopped there,” she said, confident it won’t be fixed.

According to a report from TMZ, Kathy said she won’t be returning to “RHOBH” next season if Erika and Lisa Rinna are back. She notably did not include her sister Kyle in this short list.
