I like my AirPods Pro. I really do. These are the best headphones I have ever owned.
But at $250, they’re out of reach for many people’s budgets. Not only that, but if you’re someone who tends to lose or break things, or maybe you want headphones for a kid who loses or breaks things, then the idea of losing so many money doesn’t make sense.
The benefit of paying big bucks for headphones is that you know you’re getting quality. At the bottom of the market there is, I’m sorry to say, a lot of rubbish. And paying money for bad headphones is not only a waste, but also disappointing.

But what if I tell you that you can buy a set of headphones for a fraction of the price of AirPods Pro (or regular AirPods for that matter), but you can still get a good experience from listen ?
Well, after sifting through a lot of things that aren’t worth the money, I found the perfect headphones for people who don’t want to spend too much on their headphones.
These headphones are the Soundcore by Anker Life P2 Mini Headphones.

The 10mm triple-layer speakers are nice and powerful and deliver great sound, even bass. Each earbud also contains a battery that can last up to 8 hours of playtime, which is amazing considering that each earbud weighs just 0.16oz/4.4g, which is approximately 10% lighter than your earbud typical.

The case features a secondary battery that allows three full charges of the headphones, for a total of 32 hours of use.

Pairing is super easy – open the case and they’re ready to pair. It should be kept in mind that the Life P2 Mini headphones can only be paired with one device at a time.
The Bluetooth connection is strong and reliable, and I didn’t experience any interference or dropouts in normal use.
Charging is handled by USB-C (cable included) and takes about two hours to fully charge. The headphones also take nearly two hours to fully charge, but there’s a quick charge feature that gives you one hour of playtime for every 10 minutes of charging.

For those who want to install an earphone, the Life P2 Mini supports single earphone mode.
As for the fit, I found the Life P2 Mini earbuds comfortable and they come with XS, S, M, L, and XL ear tips that you can choose from. However, I recognize that fit is a personal thing, and what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for others. But the range of ear tips should make it easy to get the right fit.

Earbud control is done using the touchpad on the side of each earbud. As with all buds, it can take some getting used to, but once you build muscle memory it becomes second nature.
The headphones are IPX5 rated which means they are able to shrug off rain and sweat which is good for outdoor or gym use.
If you’re using the Life P2 Mini to make calls, the microphones combined with the AI algorithms do a decent job of separating your voice from life’s background noise, but I did notice wind and loud car traffic affecting the quality.
But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and Soundcore by Anker Life P2 Mini is $24.50.
Yes, $24.50.
The AirPods Pro cost $250 – so you can buy ten sets of these headphones for the price of just one pair of AirPods Pro.
Are AirPods Pro any good? You bet they are!
Are they ten times better? I do not think so.
If you are looking for a cheap but decent pair of headphones, the Soundcore by Anker Life P2 Mini Headphones really worth the detour. I love them…don’t tell my AirPods.
