The upcoming Valorant patch 5.10 will bring some very influential Agent changes as well as modified menu access. This will also pave the way for a new weapon pack in the in-game store. Patch 5.10 should reflect all the changes shown in the old PBE patch and will be rolling out very soon.
Riot Games rewards providing an enjoyable experience with its popular tactical shooter IP. The developers strive to update the game’s meta from time to time to maintain a balance. They also pay close attention to feedback and address known bugs and issues as often as possible.
All the changes that should arrive with Valorant patch 5.10
Valorant typically receives two monthly patch updates, and 5.10 is the second after Episode 5, Act 3 begins on October 18. Not all patch updates influence the meta equally.
The next one is expected to heavily affect the Sentinel and Initiator meta in Valorant while introducing a friendlier UI, bug fixes, and possibly some unannounced changes. The patch can be downloaded and installed on November 15 after a few hours off.
All agent changes in patch 5.10
Fade and Cypher are about to receive massive changes to their ability set. These much-needed changes will balance Valorant’s current meta and prevent some unhealthy trends.
Vanish
Fade’s basic ability, Prowler, is currently a bit overpowered for most Valorant scenarios, given its versatility and effectiveness. She’s a must-have on maps like Ascent and Haven, where her rangers can clear chokepoints like no other initiating agent.
Additionally, his Ultimate, Nightfall, covers a wide area and is considered one of the most powerful utilities in the game. Here are all the Fade changes coming with patch 5.10:
ranger
- Duration reduced from 3 >>> 2.5 seconds. (By the time the Prowler is alive without a track).
- Bite delay after hitting target increased from 0.4 >>> 0.6 seconds.
- Hitbox improvements.
- Close vision duration on hit reduced from 3.5 >>> 2.75 seconds.
- Stalkers now turn off and no longer debuff instead of debuffing their target if they teleport before it completes its animation.
Nightfall
Zero
Cypher fell out of the Valorant meta after Chamber’s iconic introduction to the Sentinel class. However, he gained popularity after Chamber received some strict nerfs. Longtime fans of the Moroccan spy wanted Riot Games to rework his utility kit, specifically the Neural Theft, which is currently one of the worst ultimates in the game.
The developers have reviewed the requests and will introduce some exciting buffs for the promising Agent via patch 5.10. Here are all the Cypher changes coming with the next Valorant patch:
Trap wire
- Trapwire max length increased from 1000 >>> 1500.
Neural flight
- Neural Theft now reveals enemies twice. There is a four second delay between revelations.
- The time restriction for casting on enemy corpses has been removed.
- Maximum cast distance increased from 1200 >>> 1800.
Quality of life
- Updated yellow silhouette used for Cypher reveal on Spycam and Neural Theft.
- The yellow silhouette now disappears if the revealed enemy becomes visible to help reduce the confusion of seeing two representations of the enemy in different locations.
- The yellow silhouette now begins to fade and fades faster to make it more distinct from an actual enemy.
- AOE damage from allies no longer destroys Cypher’s placed utility.
New Weapon Pack: Give Back // 2022
As announced with patch 5.08, the Give Back bundle is finally returning to Valorant after a long break. The voting process took place last month, with thousands of fans taking part in the event. Here are all the weapons that won in the voting event:
- magepunk spectrum
- Abandoned operator
- Gaia’s Revenge Ghost
- Neptune Vandal
The aforementioned weapon skins will appear as part of the Give Back Pack on November 16, one day after the deployment of patch 5.10. Fans can contribute to a charitable cause by purchasing the aforementioned skins from the bundle. According to the Riot blog, 50% of proceeds from gun skins and 100% from other items will go to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.
New menu changes
The Valorant PBE 5.10 patch notes mentioned that the UI will now feature icons that will provide one-click access to all in-game menu options from anywhere. Here’s what the developers had to say about the new changes:
“After hearing the pain of removing one-click access to most of our menus, we’ve reinstated this functionality in the form of icon buttons in the universal navigation at the top of the screen. You’ll be able to now switch between Home, Battlepass, Agents, Career, Collection, and Shop with a single click from anywhere. Not sure which icon is what? Give them a hover – we’ve added tooltips to help you familiarize yourself.
Bug fixes
The next patch will also introduce some bug fixes related to the two Valorant agents: Harbor and Astra.
port
- Fixed a bug where Harbor’s Cascade would sometimes appear under the map.
- Fixed a bug where Harbor’s Cascade sight on the minimap would shorten when aiming up or down, even if the Cascade was traveling the same distance.
- Fixed a bug where the Harbor Cascade targeter on the minimap was slightly shorter than the actual distance it would travel.
astra
- Fixed a bug where Astra could cast a fake nebula right at the start of a turn before her star charged.
While the aforementioned changes might sound pretty good for a mid-patch in Valorant, developers can add more changes through the update. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for official patch notes.
